Farm Tours

Farm Tours allow you to come out and see the farm, learn about how your food is raised or grown, and get a breath of fresh country air!!
We have several opportunities to take advantage of listed below:

A walk through of the areas on the farm and overview of what goes on and how that particular area plays into the food system. May also include the following activities:
  • Kids can collect eggs from the chicken coup
  • Feed Annabelle the Milk Cow treats
  • Feed the Llamas
  • Pick Your Produce
Reservations required, but it is just a phone call away for availability!
  • Beef Customers: Welcome anytime, free with deposit or beef purchase within that calendar year.

  • General Customers: $15 per group or free with purchase of $20 or more.
    Includes up to 3 Farm Info Booklets
School Field Trips 5-20 Kids
1-4 Adults
A walk through of the areas on the farm and overview of what goes on and how that particular area plays into the food system with a learning guide for each student. May also include the following activities:
  • Kids can collect eggs from the chicken coup
  • Feed Annabelle the Milk Cow treats
  • Feed the Llamas
  • Pick Your Produce
  • Games & Learning Activities
  • Picnic Lunch (we provide the benches and blankets; please bring a sack lunch)
Request reservations at least 2 weeks in advance.

Cost is $8 per child with chaperons free
(request your group have 1 adult for every 5 kids)

More adults are welcome at $5 per additional adult.

All participants must have a signed Risk & Liability Waiver form on file with the Farm prior to the start of the field trip.
Harvest Festivals 40-100 Adults/Kids A self-guided walk through of the areas on the farm with info signs posted in each area. May also include the following activities:
  • Feed Annabelle the Milk Cow treats
  • Feed the Llamas
  • Contests (such as pumpkin painting, pie baking, etc)
  • Games & Learning Activities
  • Potluck Picnic Lunch (we provide the meat and you provide the sides/dessert)
Invitations will be sent out with a set date; these events usually occur near the end of the Spring Harvest (May) and Fall Harvest (October).

We ask that each family bring a side dish or dessert to share with the group.
Farm Experience

Farm Experiences will essentially make you a "Farmhand for a Day"; we offer 1/2 day (5 hours), whole day (10 hours), or internships (based on contract). We will teach you what you need to know, bring a good pair of leather gloves, close-toed shoes (boots preferable) and be ready for some hard work!!

Breakfast and lunch are provided as well as water and other refreshing beverages. Kids under 15 are welcome, but must be accompanied by a parent at all times.

Pay for non-interns is $8/hr in the form of a Farm Voucher. You can come work several days and save up vouchers for big purchases (beef share, turkey) or spend them on small items such as produce or eggs.

Job starts at day-break!!

Below we have listed some of the jobs around the farm and what they require; you can let us know what you are interested in and we will plug you into 1 or more areas. Some jobs are season depended, we will let you know what is available as we get you setup for your Experience!

Daily Chores 1-4 Feed and water all animals on the farm, clean out water and food bins as required; check and make sure everyone is happy and healthy!
Pen Clean-outs and Repairs 1-4 Working in our poultry areas, would be required to clean out coops, make repairs to fences or roosts, etc.
Fence Mending 1-4 Walk/ride fence lines looking for broken areas or areas where overgrowth of weeds/brush requires clearing. Make repairs, mow, cut back brush, paint...basically anything needed to get the fence back in shape!
Garden Tending 1-4 Help weed the garden, pick produce, check water lines for leaks.
Specialty Job Assistant 1-2 Help in our specialty areas such as Cattle Artificial Insemination, Turkey Harvest, Llama Shearing. Call and chat with us about those areas and your interests.
Explorer 1
(15-17 years
of age)
Contracted position with the company; contract length can vary from 1 week to 3 months. Employee will shadow a senior farm employee and help with the associated tasks for the day. Daily Chores may be assigned to individuals who show high level of responsibility and capabilities. Pay is $8/hr in Farm Voucher.
Intern 1
(over 18 years of age)
Contracted position with the company; contract length can vary from 3 to 12 months. Employee will shadow a senior farm employee and help with the associated tasks for the day. Interns will be expected to work towards demonstrating skills to assume responsibility for certain tasks. Pay is dependent on contract terms.
